Our guest today is Jule Selbo, author of Breaking Barriers: A Novel Based on the Life of Laura Bassi, the first woman in the world to be appointed a university chair in a scientific field, after being the first woman to earn a professorship in physics at any university. In those positions she brought Newtonian mechanics to the Italians.
